MOVE WITH ABANDON
Spring Summer 25
In life as in dance, momentum is everything; Even
seconds of stillness must hold a positive energy
lest stasis seeps in, the spinning top falls and the
work of overcoming inertia must begin again.
As part of her call for women everywhere to step
out of the shadows, Ace Harper's second
collection is a celebration of movement.
Channeling the ethos of punk ballerina Karole
Armitage and the aesthetics of the Post Punk and
New Wave era, handmade prints bearing the flaws
and features of organic human touch become
reanimated on liquid silhouettes and flowing
fabrics.
Each item represents a captured moment of work
in progress and a rejection of the notion of
perfection, because the truism that life can only
be lived forwards carries a second, more urgent
interpretation: However you do it, whatever your
pace, you are not really living unless you are
moving forwards. Give yourself permission to. just.
do.
